It is with profound heartache that we announce the passing of our brother, uncle, son and father, Daniel Joseph Kenny, on June 4, 2024, in Edmonton, Alberta, at the age of 49 years.

Danny was born on December 28, 1974 to Charles Ernest Kenny and Judith Anne King, in Antigonish County, Nova Scotia.

Danny spent his formative years on the family farm in Caledonia Mills, enjoying fishing and hunting. After completing high school, Danny studied Millwright at NSCC. A country boy at heart, Danny made the tough decision to move to Edmonton and chose to pursue a career in construction.

Danny was a very hard worker and could do most anything with his hands. When not working, Danny could be found in his garage doing what he loved best, lifting weights or having a beer with friends.  Danny was an avid Canadiens fan who never missed a hockey game and would celebrate every score from the garage with the sound of his own buzzer. Danny was a fierce friend and loved his family with all of his heart. Danny could be best described best as kind and generous to the core.

Danny leaves behind Misty and his step daughter, Emma. Danny is also survived by his mum, Judy, siblings: Cheryl, Derek (Anita), Michael (Miseon), his beloved dog Marlin.  Danny is also survived by many nieces and nephews, Meagan (Alex), Danny, Sam, Julia, Allison, Trylan, Jasmine, Ethan, Sena and Luna. Danny was predeceased by his father Charlie, furry friends Phil and Cona.

Danny will never be forgotten and we will cherish our memories of him.

A celebration of life will be held on June 13, 2024, at 3:30 pm at Park Memorial Funeral Home 9709 111 Ave NW, Edmonton.
